Default Destination Folder Issue

Just installed Edius 5.5 on a laptop running 7-64 bit pro. Launched Edius for the first time and made a destination folder. Since then I deleted that folder and created a new one in application settings. Here is the issue.

Every time I launch Edius now it works like it should but the original folder keeps popping back up on my OS drive. Any idea why this is happening?

Go to Settings<>User Settings<>Project File and set the default project folder to where you want it to be

In my post I stated that I tried that method but the original deleted destination folder keeps coming back. The new project files are saved in the new folder but why is the original folder I created from a fresh install of Edius still coming back?

Anton,

Laptop has one HD. When Edius was freshly installed a screen came up asking for a destination folder. I created one called edius_projects. On this screen it states that Edius will not ask for the destination folder again.

I have since created a new folder within application settings and all is fine except the original edius_projects folder comes back on the only HD I have. It is empty but how do I get this to not happen? I delete the folder but it keeps coming back every time I launch Edius.

Correction. It happens when I create a new project.

it will keep coming until you clear the history on the startup screen

just delete all recent projects, then start a new one, then save and exit

now you can delete that folder and it won't be recreated

This box only shows up in 2 conditions. First to set the original default folder location. After that, it only shows up if the folder location (shown by Anton) is not seen by Windows/EDIUS.
