Default Edius to FCP...what codec?

I shot EX-1, 1440x1080 60i footage. My friend wants to edit that in FCP6. I tried sending him a 5 second test shot from Edius timeline. I exported an .mov file with h.264, and he reported that it took over 20 minutes to decode the test in order to be editable in FCP! Is there a codec that I can use so the exported file can be dropped directly into FCP without transcoding?

Or do I need to use Clipbrowser 6 to transcode for him? If so, what format?

Export the clip out as MXF (XDCAM exporter), as 1080 60i; send that to your friend and have him import it to FCP via Sony XDCAM transfer tool plug-in (re-wraps MXF as MOV). Very quick and simple, with good results.
