Default Red Giant Magic Bullet Looks

I'ev just installed the latest 8.1 update that says it now supports Magic Bullet Looks from Red Giant via the OFX Bridge. Do you know if the Free version of that plugin is supported as absolutely nothing is showing up in the Bridge. Thanks.

Jeremy,
I do not have any Red Giant plugins but I was able to find, by a google search, that the Red Giant Universe plugins are OFX.
As far as their other products go, including the free trial, I guess that they are not OFX compatible and therefore do not plug into the OFX bridge.

I am sure that someone who has more knowledge on this than I will soon pop in here and clarify the situation better.
Regards
Douglas

I'm going on what was posted on the GV Edius Facebook page the other day:

"With the first release of the OFX Bridge, we are supporting Sapphire
from Genarts, Magic Bullet Looks from Red Giant, and Beauty Box
from Digital Anarchy. Over time we will extend support to other Open-
FX plug-ins."

Did you install the OFX version of Magic bullet looks?
Also we have identified some issues which are in the process of being fixed.
That said if you install the OFX version it will show up.

The OFX bridge is a separate download that installs ONLY the bridge. I mentioned this in a different thread: The bridge is free, the plugins are not.
If you want plugins to show up in the bridge, you either have to get trials, or buy plugins.

Read here:
http://forum.grassvalley.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=36659

To see MB Looks you will need MB Looks v3.1.1. This version is also included in the MB Suite v12.1.1.

As far as the MB Looks Free 1.14 version, it is an AE only plugin.

System Requirements
Quick Looks Free works with:
Adobe After Effects CC, CS6, CS5.5, CS5
Adobe Premiere Pro CC, CS6, CS5.5, CS5
Apple Final Cut Pro 6, 7

After MB Looks Free v1.4 is installed, you can access those effects in Edius through the AE Bridge and not the OFX bridge.

Yes, I'm aware that it's just the Bridge that's free.

I assume then that if MB Suite v12.1.1 is needed then the Quick Looks Free is not supported.

Thanks Jerry. So I have to either subscribe to After Effects again or buy MB Looks full version. Seems like Free is not free.... :)

If you have an older version of AE (all the way back to CS5.0) you will be able to use it in the bridge.

I have installed a trial version of Looks and it works fine in EDIUS with the OFX plugin.
It's hard to fully figure out how well it looks as the watermark is a giant red X across the video, yes I understand the reason for that, but it makes it hard for me to decide if I like the effects or not.
