Default External hard drives for EDIUS

Getting ready to buy one ore two new 2TB or 4TB external hard drives for editing.
I know recommended drive manufacturers change...some fall out of fashion (or don't hold up.) In the recent past I have used Fantom drives with USB/Firewire and eSata interfaces...They've been reliable...

Wondering if there is another hard drive (reliability counts) I should consider...?I do like multiple interfaces, but that's not essential. Favorites, please.
Thanks

Instead of buying a commercial product I would get a HST hard drive and put it in an external enclosure with the connectivity you need.

I just ordered this box and 5 of these drives for a very important project.
Both ridiculously highly rated.

The enterprise HGST drives look good...any thoughts on best single drive cases? Thanks.
