Might it relate to the order of the filters/effects in the stack?

Neat also may be configured to look at next/previous frames/fields, which could be different than what was shot with time remap or stabilizer.

Neatvideo needs to be the first in the effects list. You get best results when you put it above layouter.

Hi:
NeatVideo effect is a special "problem effect"; You should observe the following principle:

1. Place the NeatVideo on the clip.
2. Make sure that the effect in the information palette is the only effect and that it precedes the layouter.
3. Run the NeatVideo effect until you are satisfied with the result.
4. Now: Export the clip as HQ(fine) or (better) as HQX(super fine).
5. Import this HQ(X) file and use it for the rest of your work.

Hint:
- NeatVideo can de-noise stabilized clips better.
- NeatVideo must be the very first effect.
- NeatVideo is very time consuming, so you should use it as the only effect.
- Stabilizers (Edius-Stabi, Mercalli) can better stabilize clips that do not rustle.
- The Edius stabilizer always occupies the top position in the effect list.
- So there are two goals with the same requirements - a "conflict of objectives" that can only be solved as follows: EITHER stabilize the clip first > export > use the exported file OR apply first NeatVideo > export >.....
- The stabilizers are much faster than NeatVideo. Hence my advice: First apply NeatVideo > Export > .... as described above. And only then apply a stabilizer in the top place!

Regards kurt
PS: If you find a more effective/efficient solution of the above conflict of objectives - please let me know it.
