Default WHEA Uncorrectable Error

At random intervals - once a week or once a month my PC gets "the blues" with the above error code. I am running Edius 8 (up to date) with the TMPG MPEG-4 plugin. I did my homework both on this site and elsewhere and it seems to be due to excessive overclocking...

I thought I ask about your experience before I dial the CPU back.

If you are getting that error check your temps. Core Temp will you give you an idea. I'm guessing the error pops up during encoding.

I've been running my 4790k at 4.6 to 4.7Ghz since day one. With HD that is perfectly fine-25p-30p should do. However, when doing exports for 3840x2160 10bit 60p HDR footage using Handbrake H.265, it takes it's toll on the CPU and cooling system(Corsair H-110).
So, I've had to back off my overclock settings to compensate. I just replaced the fans on my H-110 with MagLev versions and replaced the thermal paste.
There is also the age of the CPU. Electronics do degrade over time due to several things, but heat is up there near the top.
Here's where I'm at now:

Going out with QS H.264 isn't as taxing.

As I mentioned, I've been doing more H.265 exports with Handbrake, and MW7.
You might be interested in this thread as an option. NVENC will do both H.264 and H.265 without driving the CPU. You have a current GPU so you are all set. If it is a long project, exporting an intermediary and encoding with NVENC could save you time in the long run.
