Default Edius 5.5 ,, Need New Card

My old NX card is smoked on my 2nd editing computer with 5.51. What would be the cheapest card to output video with HDMI. I have to stay with 5.51 on this computer.

Take a look at Black magic range including Decklink Mini monitor card if SD & HD output only required to a monitor. Check motherboard has suitable spare slot. Peter

I may be wrong on this, but I believe 5.51 was Canopus/GV cards only.
Some one with a 5.51 system can test that.

I have a couple of HD Spark cards in stock if you can't find anything else

Yes I think Jerry is correct on this, a valid point I had overlooked. 5.51 is a long way back now and may not work with BM cards.

Edius 6.06 was the first version to use the original BM Intensity Pro, and it was for input only. Output from BM cards didn't get added until Edius 7

OK, thanks for all the input. Maybe I'll upgrade 5.51 to 6 and use a BM card. Maybe or maybe not. I still have tons of TMP for shows. I don't think 6 will handle TMP. Will see.

Also, wasn't it output 1st for BM cards, and then input later?

Edius 6 would only give you input from a BM card, and even then I think it was only the original Intensity Pro. You would need to be on Edius 7 or 8 to get output
