Default Change audio but keep keyframes

I want to try lots of different music tracks against dialogue. Is there any way for me to change the music tracks but retain the volume keyframes so I don't have to remake them for each music track? Or perhaps there is a way to copy a block of audio volume keyframes to another track? I suspect not, but here's hoping.

Never tried this in Edius but can't you rename the new file to the name of the old file, of course this with Edius closed and old file moved to other location ?
It might ask you to relink but audio nodes should be retained... not ?
I imagine that clip length will become an issue so even if it would work I expect issues.

One of my biggest gripes with Edius since version3, it's been requested and ignored since the stone age, along with no audio waveform in the source monitor for sound files.

It will NEVER happen.

Advice: Use Premiere.

Paul :-)

Thanks. But I suspect the EDIUS database has numerous details such as file duration etc, so renaming a file of different length will likely cause untold problems. Suggestions of using a different editing product are not helpful, since I am committed to EDIUS for a large number of reasons.

Seems there is no way to do what I want - yet. It would be the audio equivalent of copying the Layouter from one image to another. A very useful feature.

I seem to remember that I once tried this, but it did not work either:

# I had a music track, but with a preview audio watermark. When the edit was approved by the client, it was time to change the music tracks into the real ones.
# I closed Edius.
# I made sure that lengths of the clips were identical, and also file type, samplerate etc.
# I renamed the preview files to xyz.OLD and gave the names to the new files, so that names were identical.
# I re-opened Edius and were hoping that Edius will not realize the exchange and take the new files - and also use the original rubberbands.

However, it did not do, and also re-linking was not successfull (even with the tick box unchecked that says something like "only identical files"). So, I had to re-edit the music track completely by hand. Maybe I did something wrong, but my conclusion back then was: does NOT work.
