Dear Steve (GV),
I understand... But I am sorry I dont care...really.

I have bought Edius and Neat video and I cant use that in 10 bits.
It is little bit unbelievable...

It is very similar like couple years ago I bought JLCooper Fadermaster. And after that you canceled support for it. Why? I dont understand...
Now I have this hardware for nothing! And it was not cheap!

Thank you for understanding and have a nice day.

Robert

Robert I sympathize with you but that is why I have several pieces of software. None of them do everything I want but together they work well. I have no expectation that one piece of software will do everything.

I finally purchased Neat Video v5 for Resolve (I have had it for Edius since v3), if I'm not mistaken (please correct me if I am wrong) Resolve will work in 10 bits, if so, the problem is solved.

Neat video works in 10bit in Resolve, I do all the NR in Resolve if needed before taking the material into Edius.

Of course, me too... I have been using many programs because I cant do it in one..
But why I have to use this way instead of simple way? If the simple way exist...

This is answer from Neat:
"The Edius team should add full support for higher-than-8-bit image data in the interface offered by Edius to plug-ins. The existing support is not full, in all existing versions of Edius. It may be sufficient to let some simpler plug-ins receive 10-bit data from Edius but it is not sufficient for more complext temporal plug-ins like Neat Video. The Edius team knows what is not fully supported on their side, we discussed that with them in the past.

The OFX support is also not complete in Edius, as far as I know.

I don't know if it would easier for the Edius team to complete the native Edius interface or to improve the OFX interface. Once that is done, we can then do our part to support higher bit depth from the side of one of Neat Video plug-ins to be used with Edius.

The ball is on the side of Edius now."

Robert

Yeah :) My father-in-law has a saying (in the matter of mother-in-law) "it was time to get used to it";)
