Default Problem with installing HDSPARK VISTA 64bit i7Core

Hi all.

I'm having a weird problem with installing HDSPARK card on one of our production PCs.

PC: Asus P6T Deluxe V2, i7 Core 940, 12GB RAM, nVidia 260 GTX card, Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 x64.

After installing the card, i'm able to install drivers, rebooting, and then the card is not recognized by VOconfig.
Strange thing is that the PC has FireWire enabled and drivers installed, but VOconfig doesn't see that, although on the pc that the card worked on it was recognizable as Generic OHCI.

Things done: Installed card into PCI-E x1, into secondary video card slot PCI-E x16, into primary video card slot, into two more PCI-Es on the board. Disabled all possible unneeded onboard devices (IRQ sharing?). You can see on the screenshot, the OS doesn't report any problem with the device. Tried different video card - nVidia 8600GT. Still not working.

Card works on other station - Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3R, Q6600, 4GB RAM, nVidia 7300, Windows XP SP2 32bit.

What can be done?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Yan

Can you tell us a bit more.

Which version of Edius are you using 5.0 5.01 or 5.11
Did you install the card at the same time you installed Edius 5x
or did you purchase the card separately and install later.

Not sure what the reference to Firewire iand OHCI is about.

I would try a clean install of Edius 5x & let the Edius 5 installer take care of the HDSpark driver....I would also place the HDSpark in the 16X PCIe slot that can be set to a PCIe x 1 slot and try it there first.

Regards

Dave.
