Default Importing from SxS

Maybe a senior moment, searching has not brought up the answer. Annoyingly I know I have raised this a couple of years back.

From a big shoot one of the ISO cameras was shot to SxS on a XDCam Ex. I'm sure there is a way of bringing the split mp4 files in as one file (duration 2x 55mins)
The cards were copied in full to an external at the end of the show.

Source Browser and Ex Browser will not see them nor join them.

Solution? Or bring the mp4s in individually...

Once they are in the Bin, select all of them, right click and choose Set as Sequence. That will combine them into 1 file.

Agreed but then I would not have a waveform. I might just as well load the individual files.
There doesn't seem to be any problems on the change over clip to clip.
Much prefer the XQD cards formatted UDF -no split files or of course the SSD recorders, using ProRes.

Does Catalyst Browse see them. Or Content Manager 2.0

Catalyst Browse will see the individual files but not join. Source Browser, I dont have- $200 better spent elsewhere?

The annoying thing is I'm sure I have imported joined files before...

David, I have been using Content Browser to capture all my SXS cards and then just drag the files into the Edius bin and then from there to the timeline and they all join together no problem.

Thanks for the info Tony
So it's CONTENT BROWSER - $20- way too many browsers with similar names.

So using CB a 55 min continuous run would come in as one file. I have Sony CB in my Sony folder, but it's some kind of station remote. I'm downloading the trial of the current version will try it out later. I've just "butted" the clips from SxS and getting on with the edit.

They are both free. Doesn't mean they work though. https://pro.sony/en_FI/product-resou.../1237493274859, https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com...catalystbrowse.

Edit : Sorry I got Browser when it was free. I think it may now be about $20. Catalyst Browser is free though.
