To place on USB flash drive and send via YouTube in privacy mode.

What is the duration? Because for USB playback with max compatibility, you need to use Fat32 and it has a 4GB limit per file

with YouTube, it does not matter because they will re-encode your file, so the better quality you upload, the better the result

also, you appear to be on EDIUS 7.53 and it does not do a good job with mp4, you may need to use Handbrake

I don't know the duration because I won't be shooting the video until this Thursday. Probably about 40 minutes in duration but of course I'm just guesstimating. The reason I'm shooting in HD422 is because the client wants to be able to see the date and time in the video and my camera will only allow that in AVCHD and HD422.
Yes I'm using EDIUS 7.53 and I'm not familiar with using handbrake but willing to try. I don't need a positive answer right now because like I said I won't be shooting the video until Thursday and then once I have the video uploaded to my PC I would like to get it resolved in the best quality I could achieve in 1080/60i.

For YouTube, just export to mepeg2 HD program stream at 25mbps and YouTube will convert it to mp4 and it will look fine

for USB playback, lets wait for edited duration

Sounds great!!! It's a deposition for an attorney. I'll be sending him a YouTube file so he can send it to the other attorneys involved. The USB flash drive will be for his file and used in court if it should go that far. As soon as I know the duration of the file I will re-post and you can direct me further.

Thank you!!!

If your output file goes over 4GB try formatting your USB file system from FAT32 to EXFAT. This will get you past the 4GB limit with Fat32 and it is a lot like Fat32 unlike NTFS.

However if I recall, AVCHD is always set to file limits of FAT32.

I just did a 40 min video on Edius for an attorney for court and gave it to him on a USB drive. The USB flash drive and video format has to be very compatible with as many computer's as possible since you have no idea what it will be playing on Mac or PC vs what operating system. I used H.264 format in Edius and USB flash drive Format as Exfat. MP4 and Exfat is a VERY compatible format with Mac and PC.
