Default Eduis 6.5 and XAVC 4K

Planning to look at a new Camera purchase at this years NAB in April.
I am interested in the new Sony XAVC format and wondering if it will edit in realtime on my Edius 6.5 NLE.

BTW I did see 4K RED fottage being used at the GV booth on Edius 6.5 in last years demo by MTS films (Matthew Scott).

Default Sony F55 footage

I download some sample Sony F55 footage (thanks John Burkhard) Sony RAW and XAVC 4K. Eduis 5.5 only opens them as audio files. I will try them om my Eduis 6.5 system when I get home this weekend.

It doesn't open them either. I used an XAVC MXF file and only got audio in Edius 6.53.

Here is a link for the files:

Use the second link.

Premiere CS6 with the Rovi plugin will accept and edit XAVC in real time at full resolution now.

There are loads of it to see on You Tube. But, it is hard to find actual XAVC native files for download.

Jerry,
it is some times overloaded(USA online now) - in my case it worked fine.
I loaded the *.mov file in Edius 6.53 in the mean time it plays without problems.
I converted it to 4K HQX Super Fine,10bit,4:2:2 the VDR is 661,4Mbps and the VDR 1,5 Mbps for 48kHz,2ch,24bit and the File size gets from 1,28GB to 17,3GB.
The Audio ist stuttering when played back from the timeline and the Buffer gets from 15 frames to 1.After rendering the timeline the video plays fine.
