Red face Urgent : Multi video clips referencing single matte

Hey folks

I've got the rampant designs matte set ( and am trying to use them in Edius 7.41.28 - they are h264 files and seem fine, except when I put one cropped video on top of the other to have them side by side over the matte, Edius will not show me both.

I have used the layout to crop the video window of each to left and right spacing, but when I add track matte to the 2nd upper video, all of the screen goes black and it does not recognise anything.

If I disable the 1st video above the matte, the 2nd video shows correctly with track matte turned on, if I disable the 2nd video, the 1st video shows correctly with track matte - if i have both videos on and track matte turned on for both videos, the screen is black -

See the image attached

I've got a job waiting to go out the door with several of these effects on I just cant get it to show up!!

Go to "Settings<>User Settings<>Preview<>Playback" and make sure "Combine Filter Layers and Track Layers" is ticked

Not at the machine currently but try a test by creating a short sequence with two or three of your resized clips. Save this sequence to the bin then make a new sequence and drag your previously saved sequence into this new sequence and now try your track matte.
