Default Windows 7 dongle issue

I just upgraded my Windows Vista to Windows 7 and the system now doesn't recognize the dongle for Edius 5. Where can I find the fix... are there updated drivers for the dongle I can download. Any help would be appreciated.

Windows 7 is not offically supported. You could try updated hasp drivers from Aladdin.

I have had no trouble W7 recognised it all and Edius works fine. Both 4.6 Version and 5.12 version. They are on two different computers one with an NX card and the other software only.

Windows Update will fix the issue. You might need to run it a few times.

Never upgrade Windows, do a fresh install.

Even if Vista is close to Windows 7, I would still recommend that you do backup your files and install a fresh copy of Windows 7.

Fresh installs of Windows 7 will require you to download the latest Aladin driver.

If you install the RTM version of Windows 7 and then use Windows Update, you will also be offered a HASP driver update that resolves the issue.

Default can't get 5.12 to install without complaining Expired

I am install this for the FOURTH time. On Win 7. I built the system your dealer Video Guys recommended.

It would be nice in the manual if it talked about THE DONGLE. Something like

"before installing Edius be sure your dongle is installed and regocnized by the operating system."

Even with multiple restarts Edius continues to complain "Trial version expired". I bought the Educational Version 5.12 and have entered the serial number multiple times too.
