I have had one of my HDSpark cards fail, what are the best options for output to Monitor? Thanks

I've been using a Black Magic mini monitor for some time. It has been steady and I've had no issues. It's a playback only card, they also do a mini recorder and other solutions that do both. I've seen certain issues with certain cards of theirs and certain driver combinations. But for HD monitoring the mini monitor has worked as expected.

Download updates from Blackmagic Design. Beware, not every new driver is good. Drivers might work, and then again they might not.

Version 10.5.4 is always a good one. Some of the later ones can cause issues with certain BM devices

How do you use a PCI Express device on your laptop?

I would guess that Rusty is using the Ultra Studio mini-monitor.
Same price, same function, just Thunderbolt.

IF you are using the BM, install the drivers, then go see if it is present in Preview Devices. If not, make a device preset.
