Default EDIUS 6.0X vs IVY or Sandy Bridge ?

EDIUS supports Sandy Bridge CPU, and recommend Z68 motherboard.

On some internet article wrote :

Ivy bridge CPUs have quick sync 2.0, with proper software, quick sync 2.0 have faster encoding speed than Sandy Bridge quick sync 1.0.

and if the software do not support quick sync 2.0 fully, Ivy CPU encode slower than Sandy CPU.

Does any body knows that EDIUS 6.0X fully support Ivy bridge CPU(quick sync 2.0) or not ?

I'm going to buy a new PC, if EDIUS 6.0X only support Sandy bridge, and use Ivy bridge cannot release the full power, maybe I should consider buy Sandy bridge rather than newer Ivy bridge ?
