Nope. If I drop the dissolve on the seam between still01 and still02 a single transition appears between still39 and still40. All cuts still remain between all others.

I had to turn on the settings toggle for: Extend clips when applying ...

Just another booby trap. Nothing in the pdf maual to cover this.

Select all the clips, put the cursor in bettween some and hit CTRL>P

extend clips is ticked by default, maybe you unticked it some stage
