Hi everybody,

I asked in TMPEG feedback area for further plans & got these answers:

question:
> When will the english (& maybe a german?) version of "TMPGEnc Movie Plug-in MPEG-2 for EDIUS'' announced / available to purchase?
> Many EDIUS users are interested in this plugin!

answer:
We are considering it, but it still need a bit of works now before we
reach an "International Quality" level.

question:

> Will you provide an H264 export plugin too in future?

answer:

It depends on the popular demand. The more we get requests like yours,
the more we consider the different options available.

question:
> Will you change your professional plugins for dongle usage in future or is a permanent internet connection
> needed to work with it?
>
> Please take care that many professionals don't want to be connected to the web.
> Your online activation is not more safe compared to a dongle protection.
>
> I believe that many users (including me) will pay more money for dongle protection because the frequently
> internet connection is a crap & we are bounded on the web connection! No one take care of the case
> that a permanent connection will maybe lost or is not present. No good in profesional environments.
> Please change your way for your professional products!

answer:
Dongle protection does not protect a lot, and the licensing is still prohibitive.
Anyway, I also forward your dongle request to the product planification team.

cheers

With the release of T5 in 3 days from now I hope we will also have an update to the Edius plugin, and when we will be able to test the English version with selectable filters.

While I'm really happy with T5 as a stand alone app, I do wish for a plug in soon.
I have also send them a e-mail, no reply yet.

Looks like the trail activation windows where you have to type your email address etc.

Even if you get past this screen it continues in Japanese ............ All the way :)

Better request for an english version at their website.

I received an email from TMPGEnc regarding the 5 version of their software. It stated a edius plug in was coming soon. Will this be included with the software or will the plugin cost extra???

Why not email them and ask? Strange that you would ask it here.

Because there are users of the software on this board who are in contact with the company on a regular basis and they may have the knowledge of the plug-in, or how plug-ins have been managed in previous versions. I did not think it was a strange question.

In the spirit of passing on information to those who maybe interested in the Edius 6 Plugin I received this from TMPGEnc

This will be an extra, and only the MPEG-1/2 output will be availablewith this plug-in (no MPEG-4 or other format). It will however providesaccess to compatible SpursEngine devices' encoder. Price is not fixed yet. Yours Sincerely,
