Default timeline markers disappearing

With 5.5

I searched and could not find any thread on this issue.

I use the 'V' key to set a marker on the timeline. Sometimes they appear green, sometimes they are orange, I know not the difference. I then continue to edit. And no I do not use the undo and accidentally remove a marker. This happens way too often. Maybe 3 or 4 times during the process of a 2-hour wedding edit.

When I go to Burn To Disc with the GV embeded option I don't get all the chapter marks made and when I go back to the timeline, the latest markers I laid and not there anymore.

I have hit the delete key thinking I was going to delete the highlighted portion of a clip, and instead deleted the timeline marker. It took me a while to figure out what was going on.

it is always a good idea to set and check and fine tune markers prior to DVD export

It took me a while to click on to the dissappearing timeline markers when using the C then Delete to remove the highlighted tail portion of the edited clip. Green is for the most recently added marker...ad another and the previous turns orange. Antons advice is sage, check and tune markers before DVD export then save and remember you do not need one for the start.

If you experience problems sometimes exporting the marker list to a txt file and deleting the markers will allow you to refresh the DVD plug-in, once opened and closed you can re-import the marker list from the text file, save and reopen the DVD plug-in...also make sure you have the right sequence selected in the DVD plug-in.

Regards

Dave.
