I wanna know if this card is compatible with XP3.Also what about Win7 and Vista support ?
I have read there were problems with the SP1 (black screen etc...)

This is a user community forum, for urgent things, you could contact your local support office or dealer.

That said, I'm not aware of issues with SP2 or SP3. SP1 or newer is required. It uses the Operating System's native Firewire driver, so it should work.

In Windows 7, if you have trouble, you may have to revert the 1394 Interface driver to the "Legacy" driver instead of using the default driver.

I don't think many people use this card on the forum.
So far I have not come around issues with service pack 3 of that great O.S.
But could you make a ghost image of some sort to safe guard the existing boot partition.
For these things I use Acronis disc director home 11, I have several copies of my boot drive partition on various HDD's.
When you work this way you are not scared to try things, I work since end 2009 with windows 7 but until today I have a working bootable partition of XP pro SP3 on one of my several spare HDD's with multiple back ups in various stages of Edius, from version 4.x right up to 5.51 :)

Make it your habit to have a partition manager in your tool box, you'll sleep much better at night.
