Thanks everyone. I'm in the process of executing all suggestions one-by-one, and appreciate all your help. Also finding and erasing left-over Win 7 bits that are not needed by Win 10.

you can remove the previous win cleanly with the built in tool in Win10, once you click as seen in attached, select previous win installation and click ok to remove, it takes about 10min
