This is because AVIs cannot save information like this but other formats can.

QT should do the trick but I have not tested it. The recommendation from Grass Valley at IBC was use XAVC as it is relatively uncompressed and can hold the metadata.

I don't trust the sony's codec. I don't like sony at all frankly :)
