I think a lot of users will be happy with Lut support and the new options for grading. :)

It will be as long as users understand the use of LUT's.
They are a starting point and not a cure all.

The one person that knows this stuff up and down is Matt Scott. Hopefully, he will chime in and help with that education.

Looks promising. Might actually have to install 8.2 when it ships.

Best

8.2 is this plus motion tracking and some other stuff and hopefully arriving about NAB time - which is mid April. Of course, that does not mean it will actually be here then, that was just mentioned as a possible release time in another thread.

It's good to see we are to get improved grading options, I hope we can use multiple LUT's such the Balazer Panasonic GH4 LUT package. BTW these are technical LUTs for color space conversion, not generic "look" LUTs.

The multiple LUTs are to be used together in a particular order.

1/ GH4 to Log
2/ Log to gamma
3/ Gamma to Rec.709
4/ Log to Rec.709
5/ log -to- Rec.709 [highlight roll-off]

(In practice #1 and #5 would mostly be used)

Also, since we are getting YRGB I am hopeful we will get a RGB Parade scope at last?

Here's hoping!
