I have to inform you Edius 9 works fine now. My problem was with a big aand heavy audio file I put inside.

Now I need to ask another hard question. When Edius 9 is opened, if I turn off the monitor even for 1 second only, Edius 9 change layout automatically. It is a very annoying thing. I did some tests: if I turn off the monitor for 1 second and turn on it immediately, Edius 9 changes layout. Could I solve this problem?
I attach 2 pics. The first pic is my normal layout with which I'm working. In the second pic you can see the different layout.
thanks.

Hi,

I wonder why would anyone deliberately switched off the monitor? Anyway .....

I only have a laptop - so I can't simulate your problem. BUT - you can save the current layout under a name - so even when EDIUS switches layouts - you can recall your saved layout.

Go - View, Window Layout, Save Current Layout.

On mine it will jump to 2nd monitor
If you followed the instructions you could see why

It is not EDIUS - it's Windows handling of more than one physical monitor attached to the workstation.

I made the last test with that UHD project. I didn't made a rendering before exporting and I started to export. Edius 9 stopped to export at 48% but I leaved it to work for 4 hours. I went away and when I came back I noticed Edius was always at 48%. This means it had problems with that project because it contains a very heavy audio file. Then I made rendering (for around 20 minutes) and Edius 9 worked fine and exported that project correctly. It seems incredible a professional software has a such problem.

can you install EDIUS 8.53 WG, no need to uninstall 9 WG and then try export of this project with 8WG

if it works, you can assume that 9WG has an issue

Have you tried exporting just the audio as a wav file. Then bring that back into the project and mute all the other audio and see if that works.
