Douglas - that's gorgeous. You've become quite an accomplished Pilot as well as a fine editor!

Thank you Harro, Lew and Alan for your comments. Since posting the video I have noticed 4 small points in the editing that I am not happy with. If I find time, I may tweak them. But probably I will just leave it as it is.
This is the first time I have done a video containing only drone shots. Otherwise I only use drone shots to enhance a "standard" terrestrial shot video.
Hoping to upload "Our second 6 months with a Parrot Anafi" in about 6 months from now.
Regards
Douglas

We have removed the latest discussion from the thread. We do understand the sentiments and arguments.
We have evaluated the post and the linked video and it is following the forum rules.

We have asked the original poster to make it clear in the post that the commercial is about Arisoft replica guns which are used in team shooting sport (plastic bb pallets). The sport is very similar to paintball.

Hi all. To many - do appreciate each and every comment about the Featurette I posted here a couple of pages ago:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/lpyyk7pao4...Final.mp4?dl=0

Work is always a joy, and EDIUS was an important part of the completed effort. EDIUS allowed me to accomplish nearly every function in dramatic editing that I was used to in Avid Media Composer - and that's a lot! We even color corrected a sometimes faulty camera (which we discovered AFTER shooting), and added an EDIUS-developed LUT to the overall picture.

Adding to our pleasures, at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema, held 2 weeks ago, "Take My Hand" won Best Featurette, Best Director, Best Ensemble cast and Best Screenwriting awards. There were over 800 films entered into the Festival, so we're pretty proud.

Not trying to toot our own horn here, but just to voice our appreciation for all the advancements made in EDIUS over the years which make good dramatic editing a reality.

Happy Easter bunny rabbit to all.
Alan

Default Supernova 45

Hello everyone,

Here's a recent Sci-Fi TV Pilot Presentation which I Produced, Directed, photographed and edited (including sound mix and color correction) on EDIUS. Shot in 1080P with the Canon EOS C-300. Post was complicated: A myriad of Green Screen work (as you can see) - some of it had 3 or 4 layers of Green screen elements combined into final shots. This edition is a short compilation of the 27 minute Pilot - but enough not to bore and to see the most interesting parts in about 9 minutes.

To whoever takes a look - thanks for watching.

Default I prefer the rain - I'm from Scotland

Normally people tend to take photos and videos on nice bright sunny days, preferably with a few fluffy white clouds in the sky.
I'm from Scotland – I grew up with rain!
Going places in the rain, taking photos and videos can produce interesting and unusual views of a place that most people have only seen in the sunshine.
From time to time I will be posting videos taken in the rain.
On this occasion, at the Koyamasuwa Shrine in Kumamoto, it was the middle of the “rainy season” and a perfect day to try and capture the atmosphere at an old shrine as it enjoyed a heavy shower of refreshing rain!

Default Editing with Edius for 12years now...

I studied film at university using Final Cup 7.0 and even played around with editing back in high school when Premiere was a black horse jumping out of the film strip.

Then I moved to Japan in 2007 and was shown the light... EDIUS.
Sure it lacks a lot of features Premiere and Final Cut had, but damn it was fast. Throwing effects on while playing the footage at the same time blew my mind.

Ever since I edit almost everything in Edius, some title I do make in photoshop and graphics in After Effects but, the main place it comes together is Edius.

I edit all the videos on this channel,
https://www.youtube.com/c/edamamearcade/

and if you understand Japanese, on this channel as well:
