Default ADVC 110 Analogue input/output delay?

Hello. I was wondering if the ADVC 110's Composite output simply acts as a splitter (no processing or delay) when a Composite input is in use. I'm recording a video game match (Gamecube Composite input > Firewire output to my computer). I already know there's going to be a delay going from Analogue to Digital or Digital to Analogue because of the conversion process, but will I expect a lag on my TV from the Composite output as well? Thanks!

IIRC there is not, but I can't say with 100% certainty.

If you split the output, or happen to have an original GameCube that has the digital output in addition to the AV output, and a GameCube digital display, then you can tell with certainty without having to split the GCN output.

I have such a setup, actually... I'll see if I can test it over the weekend.

Sorry, things have been busy and I haven't had a chance to check this yet...
I might not be able to get to it for a few weeks. Hopefully someone else can confirm for you before then.

Okay sorry for the delay. Life has been very busy and I'm finally catching up with pending tasks and promises.

I was a bit off in my statement above. I have a GameCube analog display, but the test scenario still works as I'm using two direct outputs from the GameCube, one through the ADVC, the other not.

So unless there's exactly the same delay introduced by the GameCube Digital Out... there does not seem to be any appreciable delay introduced by the ADVC on the analog path (analog in to analog out).

Note that I am testing with an ADVC100 rather than an ADVC110, but there shouldn't be a difference between the two.

Test scenario:
GameCube Digital Out -> Component -> ADVC100 -> LCD TV
GameCube Analog Out -> LCD screen

and I'm comparing response times between LCD TV and LCD screen.
