Default PNY GTX460 graphics card with Edius 6

I am getting ready to upgrade to Edius 6 from Neo 2. I will be getting the edus 6 and HDSpark bundle, this is less expensive than upgrading Neo and buying the Spark card seperately. I will also need to upgrade my graphics card. Anyone know if the PNY GTX470 will work well with 6? My computer runs on the Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 at 2.93GHz, Vista Home Premium 64-bit with 8GB of RAM. Any help or anything else that I should do will be appreciated greatly!

Are you editing native avchd footage? If so, you might consider upgrading to an I7 system, with that video card.
I am still using core 2 duo and quad sytems. My Extreme chip motherboard has PCI-E 1.0 in it. Newer boards have PCI-E 2.0 and later this year boards will have PCI-E 3.0. Each version allows more throughput for the video card.
Putting a 460 in a 1.0 slot will not give the same results as a 2.0 slot. It will work, but will have reduced capacity.
Something to consider.

I echo Jerry's remarks.

I used to have a 2 core 3GHz system and that struggled once an effect was added to a clip. I upgraded the system to what you see below and it flies.

I have got it run with the WIN-7 64 Bit (witch i make a downgrade now to WIN-XP-SP3..)
If u will upgrade, so look for an
Palid-Card with a better cooling-system !
