Default Effects Download on GV Website

I found this by accident on the GV Japan website:

http://www.edius.jp/download/effect01.html

There are pages of free downloads of preset effects.

They look very useful. Any chance of someone translating and making them available to the rest of the world on the GV website?

Is there a very good reason why this only appears on the Japanese website?

I have now used Google to translate a sample page:

http://translate.google.co.uk/transl...55x5_vol1.html

Looks like you can download all the filters in one download at the bottom of the page.

I am not too sure how you install them though. Could they work in Edius 6?

John,
I have not installed the gpufx ones. The filter will go into Edius one at a time.
There is an issue with importing .tpd files with multiple effects(groups). So if you want to use any of these you have to install them as single effects.
Just go to the effects panel>create a new folder>right click>choose import and bring in your chosen effect. As you bring them in individually, just put them in the folder, or folders that you have created.

Thanks Jerry,

Do you know if they might work in Edius 6 when I get it?

Yes, import the folders with groups of presets do not work in EDIUS 6.01, there is a bug there; as Jerry mentioned it only can import individual preset not group.

Developers in Japan it has to solve that problem.

Is this webpage I found a new thing, or has it been around for sometime and everybody knows about it?

never too late... I think that solution would open in the forum an additional category in "Desktop Solutions", from there presets sticky topic sites such as this page, talk more about the issue of users presets, upload their own contributions, anything users EDIUS always find it here. For my part I am willing to post some of my contributions.

Translation and integration of some of the Japan-only content is being discussed, but no definite plans have been made at this time. It's a nontrivial task, and some of the stuff they have up doesn't make sense to markets outside of Japan.
