Default 4K outputcard

Currently I have a hd spark card which is connected to a full hd tv, my tv is going to be replaced with a 4K model and I want to be able to view my timeline on that tv just like I can do now with my spark card.

Important is that the card has to support 1080p 25p and 50p but also 4K 25p and 50p projects, what card is supported by edius 8wg that is able to do this?

Thx for any advice.

There are 3rd party cards that support UHD 50/60p, but Edius doesn't allow them to output UHD 50/60p. For output Edius is limited to a maximum of UHD @30p

Thx for the answers, so that means I have to adjust my expectations to a 1080p 25p or 50p and a 4k 25p output from the timeline to a 4k tv, is there a card that can do this that is supported by edius?

Not quite correct.

Grass Valley Japan offers two turnkey systems (HDWS 4K2 and 4K2 Elite) which can output 4K up to 60p. The solutions are targeted at the high end broadcast market.

If you read it again I said 3rd party cards. The GV turnkey systems use GV output cards

You'll find online sources which claim that the card is not manufactured by GV.

Noa, I am looking at the BM Decklink Mini monitor 4k and it has those specs. No analogue breakout though.

Thx, I see that the BM Decklink Mini monitor 4k and the BM Intensity Pro 4K that was mentioned here as well share the same price and almost the same specifications with the main exception that the BM Decklink Mini monitor 4k supports DCI4K as well and one of my camera's can shoot in that format.

Would the BM Decklink Mini monitor 4k function in the same way like my hd spark card does? Meaning that after installation of the card I can just go to system settings - hardware - preview device and then the card should just pop up in the window? and after I select it it will send the timeline as full screen to a 4K tv?
