Default Unable to export timeline timecode

Does anyone know how I can preserve the timeline timecode with the quicktime exporter? Ordinarily if I export a non quicktime file (eg GV HQX avi), then the timecode from the timeline is embedded, but trying to export DNXHD (via the quicktime exporter) the timeline timecode is lost. Doing the same exercise in (my elderly copy of) Premiere Pro 2.0, the timeline timecode is preserved in quicktime.

Using Quicktime Pro to look at the DNXHD file created in Edius 6.53 there is no timecode track present, but when I examine the DNXHD file exported from Premiere, the timecode track is there..

Does anyone know of a setting that I've missed within Edius? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Kindest regards

Andrew

OK I now have a work around with good old Procoder 3!

It took a while to find but under the Advanced settings in Procoder, there is a check box which will add source file timecode to the target file.

Does anyone know if there is a setting for this in the Edius QT exporter or is the lack of timecode in fact a BUG.

I think it is a BUG and the reason I am suggesting this is that if I check the box offering to burn in timecode to vision, it doesn't do that either - presumably because Edius is creating QT files without timecode!

Incidentally I can not get timecode out of Edius in any quicktime file format including GV HQX quicktime.

Please can this be fixed ?
