LOL yes, same here :)

I've an old 2700K CPU and does the job but would like to build a new PC for myself and think a 8700K would be perfect for me.
I will buy a few components when I can afford it so that's why I was asking about a MB :)
I have an Asrock MB in my current PC (4/5 yrs old) and think I would go Asrock again but not sure what one.

I do have an SSD system drive BTW.

Thanks Jeremy.

Graphic Card
Front Hard drive swap caddy
My SxS Card reader and DVD/BluRay writer.

no problem at all

you can even set the port that you will use for caddy to hot swap

be sure you connect the waterpump for cpu to the connector marked as such because it has more oomph

and don't save on underpowered PSU

If you do get the taichi Z370 make sure to use the latest bios available. Earlier bios versions created an overheating issue.

that goes without saying, before I even install Windows, I do the Bios update which is very simple with the built in online update, works perfet to retrieve Bios from asrock and install (ethernet cable with available internet needs to be plugged in)

once done, I check all other Bios settings and then install Win

do not connect any hard disks other than the SSD when you install Windows

once Win is installed and graphics driver installed, then you can start adding drives and set the port with caddie to hotswap

then add any other hardware like BM

My main point was the overheating issue.
