Default Burn to disc grayed out.

When I installed Edius 6 I only had a CD/DVD Reader in my system.
Today I installed a Liteon CD/DVD writer and the option "Burn to disc" is grayed out.
Do I have to reinstall Edius?

no need to reinstall

simply use an interlaced project such as HD 50i or SD 50i and it will work

Another possibility is you have an in and out point set on a blank portion of timeline. Burn to disc always does between the in and out and if this is over an empty area it will be greyed out.
