Default Acess to .ezp files

Does anybody know of a tool that can access older Edius project files .ezp. We have a lot of older archived projects and our Edius machine died and my version of Edius 4 is no longer supported to reinstall anywhere.

Edius projects are forward-compatible and should open with newer versions of Edius (though I haven't tried a v4 file with v8). Make sure you work with a copy of the file, once you save the project it will be in the current format and no longer compatible with v4.

Only today I opened E 3 and E4.6 projects in E8 a client who wants a retrospective edit of shows from 2007 and 2008.
Problem comes with Title Pro captions and Xplode Pro effects BUT the whole project opens up. I have now reloaded on my archive system. running 4.6 so that I can export captions to tga.

Is it not possible to format a C drive with XP on and reload 4.6 and TMP? Could be time well spent?

That's one of my problems I dont have a copy of 4 to install, I still have the USB dongle but not the install software. Creating a bootable XP partition with just Edius on it could be a solution if had the install files available.

What about upgrade to 8 or upcoming 9, will I be able to upgrade for discount? Do I contact GV to find out ? I just would hate to spend $500 just to access these files
