Default Replace Color

I have been provided with 3D photogrammetry animations (UHD 100fps MJPG AVI files) in a gray space, as in the attached frame. What would be the best way to replace the gray background with black? Which is the best software to use? Or would it be easier to ask for the animations to be remade with a black background?
