Default Keyers and Green Screen

I'm trying to add an object on top of some video I shot.
The object was placed on a green screen, however it was too large for the primary footage.
In turn, I tried reducing the size in the layouter, however, It also reduced the size of the green screen, now when I play the video, it cuts out anything not in the green zone and makes it black.

any way to fix this?

When you have resized the Cromakey clip put the background in layouter to almost the same color as your chroma green .There is a video in this post:

I was unable to open the video. Is there a different way to open than double click?

You can also click enable rectangle in Chromakey and then size that over the smaller green screen.
