For the first time I tried this and got a 50fps file (project is 50i) and this doesn't play on 2 different TV's here, so is not ideal. See attachments for export settings, project settings and MediaInfo. I did it in MW5 successfully but would prefer not to have the additional step of an intermediary file.
I am struggling to see your screenshots so assume you have exported correctly, but I am not 100% surprised you have hit an issue.

https://forum.grassvalley.com/forum/...ad.php?t=41639 MET WITH INDIFFERENCE!!!

MediaInfo reports false results and this may cause issues when a file is being checked by anything using similar algorithms. That said I have never had a 50i file out of Edius 8.5* that will not play on a TV/PC.

Possibly or greasy specs. The settings in the export panel were blurred when zoomed up.
Just had another look mainly screen 2 but concur settings are all correct.
BTW From today SC 5.00 off per litre at Costco...on my way at 10am!

Without QS Anton. I've given up with QS in E8.

DigitalDave, they play fine on PC and maybe because of old TV's I am having issues there, but makes one unsure because everyone doesn't have newish TV's.

BernH. Yes, I use handbrake for web and MW5 for PC and TV. Was hoping to cut out the extra step by using Edius for PC/TV. As Jerry said the TMPG avc plug-in is probably my best bet for skipping the extra step. If there is no solution for the 50fps issue, I will probably get the plug-in to save time.

Thanks to all.

I use Handbrake for USB for TV playback with tff=1 in extra options for upper field

Handbrake is the fastest workflow if you export timeline to mpeg2 HD 25mpps with PCM audio and closed GOP

on my PC, a one hour timeline exports in 6min to mpeg2 HD

and Handbrake encodes at 220 frames per sec, so I be done long before an EDIUS H264 export finishes
