Default crash with long time(more than 30 min)

hello when my time in timline go to more than 30min when i press c its many to take long time to get my order.pleas help me.

my system
cpu :core to duo 2.1
ram: 4gb
vga:1gb ddr2

main: asus p5wdh delux

hard: 500gb western digital 7200 sata 2

i have not capture card.

what are the clips on your timeline? if CanopusDV, MicrosoftDV, Canopus HQ or Canopus Lossless, it should work fine

if trying to edit mpeg from a DVD etc, then these delays can be expected
