Central;
Have located you 'Edius 6v5 License_Activation.pd'f on the GV site? Where your downloads reside.
To date I've only experience problems deactivating On-Line. The good news is that after failing Edius is still good to run. Deactivating Off_line produces 4 files and kills Edius.

Activating Off_Line seems to involve producing a set of files which can be moved to a USB stick.
From a computer connected to the internet one of the files on the USB stick should connect with the GV Licence Manager. I think at this stage you enter your serial number and then present another of the files on the USB stick. At this point I would expect to see your licence count reduce by 1 and allow you to download a file from GV to your USB stick. You now need to go back Edius that needs activating and present the onboard manager with the file downloaded from GV. The pdf is a bit vague at this point.

I guess the easy way to sort this out is to start with a working copy of Edius. Make a disc image of your drive (insurance). Now deactivate Off Line and try to increment your licence count in the GV data base.
Once to get to this state try to re-activate Edius Off Line. If all goes well Edius will be up and running.
If you fail to re-activate just use the image to get up and running again.

If you do sort the procedure out please post in 'Janet & John' terms.

Best of luck

Geoff
