Default processor

what is the general consensous on this processor i7930 - 1366 socket - will it work well? and how will it perform making a blue ray? (at this point the firecoder really isnt necessary i guess?)

It will work fine doing a blue ray. It is just above the entry level 920 chip and should work fine. Do not expect 975 performance and you will be fine.

How much of a difference will I see between this and the 975? -

And if i got the 975 is the firecoder really necessary? and/or do i need the firecoder with the 930? or even the 975?

Just trying to figure out the most bang for the buck!

it ends up being about the same price the 930 w/ firecoder or the 975 w/o firecoder?
