Default Can't Copy Timeline Clips

I am attempting to copy several assorted clips from the timeline to create a highlights segment. I set up a highlights box in the bin. When I select a clip in the timeline, copy and paste it into the bin, the copied clip becomes a completely different clip from the timeline clip.

I can copy a clip from the timeline and paste it on timeline in a new location - but when the copied clip is pasted into the bin it changes into a different clip.

I just tested about 30 different clips. Dragging to bin and/or copy and paste to bin. About half the time it worked correctly, and half the time the clip in the bin was not the same as the clip I dragged. Those that won't copy correctly, also won't drag correctly.

does the incorrect clip in the bin after paste or drag have the wrong file name, or is the file name the same as in timeline and it is just showing a different section of the clip, meaning timeline in and out is reset?

The original file is one 2:30 hour stage performance. It was divided on the timeline into a separate clip for each song. So the original "file name" is the same for each clip, but each has different TC. When I paste or drag the bad clips into the bin the TC In and Out and Duration changes from the clip I dragged to another random TC clip somewhere else on the timeline.

This only happens to SOME of the clips - but a large number of them.

No change to this problem after the update was downloaded.

I have tried and it is not happening here

can you confirm that your 2 hour file is an actual single file on the hard disk or is it a spanned clip that is a compilation of 4GB chunks (as typical with Fat32 media cards)
