Default Can't reinstall?

Well, I just have few more things I want to test before I decide to buy, but today my 6.52 trial copy expired! Dang! Hoping I could download the trial again, and finish my evaluation, I did so without problems. It reinstalled fine, but when I try to run it, I get a message saying, "The application may have been installed improperly." every time.

I have completely uninstalled the previous installation, including the data files in the Users tab in Win Explorer. But can't get anything from the new install. So am I doing something wrong, or is the trial strictly a one time thing? If so, I understand and that's fine, but if not any suggestions? Thanks!

oh boy, am I glad not to live in Chico anymore. 110F on Monday?

As far as I know, and like many other trial programs, Edius leaves certain key files in the system (registry?) to prevent endless trial copies to be re-installed upon expiration.

Yea, that's what I figured, and it's only fair for Grass Valley. Guess I'll buy it.

Yea, blazing up here! And gonna get hotter. Where did you move too?

had to move out of there because of allergies. trees everywhere. its allergy season all year long

still, now that I think about it, you probably do need to troubleshoot the improper installation issue, because after all, buying EDIUS would mean to unlock an expired but properly installed copy of the program and then do the regular updates to the latest version

You won't need to reinstall after purchase. Plug in a SN and you're done.

I'll be cowering indoors today.
