Default ADVC 110 or ADVC 300

I am preparing to start transferring all of my old 8mm, Hi8, and a few VHS to digital format and I am not sure if the ADVC 110 or the ADVC 300 would be better for me. The thought of being able to clean up some of the old video is appealling but I do not know if the extra $200.00 is worth it. Does anyone out there have any opinions on which way to go?

8mm film? Why would you use ADVC 110 or ADVC 300 to transfer 8mm?
