I didn't say it rejected any!!
What I have found is that the existing presets were fine after changing back to uper field first (don't know how i got that messed up at the time because all my Mpeg2 ones were UF).

What is and what is not a Blu-ray compliant stream is a moving target. I have the new build of DVDit PRO HD which accepts AVC and VC-1 files, however using the presets here they did not pass!! Adobe Encore CS3 has proven too problematic with these for me as well, so it is just conservatism to put them in as a DoStudio preset only (as they work well).

Why is the DoStudio multiplexer likeing them when the other two don't? Adobe Encore uses the same multiplexer from SONIC as DVDit does so it's fair to say, this might even be a problem with SONIC's muxer. Not even the big boys (in encoding) know exactly how do do it right, Sorenson's claimed VC-1 for Blu-ray is proven not compliant and MainConcept Reference VC-1 PRO presets only work for 24 progressive stuff. I have both teams running around wondering how to wash the egg off their face.

Default 1080p 25

Hi Thanks for the presents. Is it possible to modify them for 1080p 25 content?

Cheers,

Jon

Hi Jon

1080p 25 is not a format in the Blu-ray spec sheet--- so no.

Ok what's the secret to downloading the presets? The forum keeps wanting me to log in. Thanks!

Thanks for the presets Shueardm. Could you please point me to this Blu-ray spec sheet so I can read up on it? It was my understanding that Blu-ray supports specific codecs, not specific formats and framerates. This would certainly help me when giving options for accepted Blu-Ray formats.

Thank you!

G'day,

The actual spec sheets are only available to those who buy it and I think you must be a member of the BDA.

Nontheless, there's published references from some highly regarded sources.

Try here

Has anyone else noticed that when you encode using the MPEG2 and AC3 setting, the audio file is one frame longer than the video file produced?

I'm having problems with this in Encore and this may be the cause. I know that in past, Encore would crash or simply behave badly when the length of the audio and video were not the same.

Thanks
