Default Edius 6.01 delete file

In Edius 6.01 the "Delete File" command obtained by right clicking a file in the bin stays ghosted and I cannot seem to find how to overcome it. Not a profile issue. Its probably me but its different than Edius 5.

yes, this command works (at this time) only for mediafiles inside from the Project-Folder

why ever, this is the "new design" .... and I hate it ... this "new design" eat up my time

you have now to go:
Contex on clip in Bin >> command "Explorer" >> and delete the file in the windows Explorer

.

No problem, it is by design (which I happen to like).

So what if you need to 'delete file' for multiple files?

Right now in Edius 5 I can do this in one hit with a multiple selection, no need for Windows Explorer to open. Do you finish up with multiple Explorer windows open?

Thanks

I select and delete them in their folders. A couple of clicks more but much safer in the long run.

We need to think in terms of all users not just the ones that have used this for a long while. The ability to actually Delete the original file from the Bin is a fairly catastrophic one if it is by mistake.

This is one change I think should not have been this drastic.
We have brains and see the extra confirm dialog BOX. Instead of changing it they could have just changed the naming
1 Remove from bin = remove from bin stays on disk
2 Delete file from disk= delete file from disk.
Both do what they say.

Correct naming would have resorted in not changing the function.

I think even someone from the stone age would see that there is a difference. :)

Not because another Nle does it one way makes it the right way IHMO
