I'm attaching a screen shot of the restore. By opening from the file menu it does display a list of the files but with no specific file names or paths.

I really can't make any sense of what is in the restore dialogue as it does not show a real path or file name. I think these are the subtitle caption images though linked by the xml script as there is only one missing image file in my project's bin folders.

No problem happening with the project just wondered why there were so many missing files.

Expand your location box and you can see more info about where the missing files were located.

All the columns are very narrow. Expand/widen them out to see the details.

I just remembered I wrote this and put it on my website some time ago:
http://www.dvctraining.co.uk/dvc-pho...offline-clips/
It was written with EDIUS 7 but the procedure has not changed and might help. All it means are teh screen shots have the EDIUS 7 look not the EDIUS 9 look.

The restore dialogue expanded just shows the 200 or so files to be within the Edius project itself. I'm about 99.99% sure this is referring to the open caption png files which were imported via FCP_xml from subtitle edit. I have looked through every folder in the project bin and there is only one missing jpg. So I guess Edius just treats these xml imports in this fashion from SubTitle Edit. Might be something to note for future reference.

Those files are listed within the E:\CIRC_web folder. Look in that folder with windows explorer. Has the drive letter changed? Is the folder there? Are the files there? Did you rename or delete that folder or move the files? If the files are indeed in that location and named the same, Edius should not be saying that they are offline.

I have not seen this happen in my tests with subtitle edit.

I have not used subtitle edit, but if you import an image sequence it will appear as one clip in the bin but if off line there will be all the individual image files listed on the restore clips dialogue. Maybe that is what is happening here?

It's been a while since I did this project but I'm convinced the restore dialogue is seeing the subtitle edit pngs as missing. Can't remember if I had to point Edius to the subtitle edit folder. Probably the fcp_xml file is missing a link that Edius wants to see. Took some tweaking by the subtitle edit author to get the file to work in NTSC.
