Default Quick Titler

Within the quick titler is there a way to get hand writing style fonts? Also, is there a way to keep the font drop-down box open while selecting different fonts?

Look in the Font drop down menu for the font 'Brush Script Std.' If you have that you should be able to get a font that looks handwritten.
It will not 'write' onto the screen but it will have the look.
If you don't have that font, I think it is a standard install font though, you can always download a handwriting font and install it in the system font folder. Quick Title uses the system fonts.

If you click the Font drop down it will stay open as long as you are scrolling through it. Click it again and the drop down will close. Don't move your mouse because you can scroll through the list and see the font change on the preview screen.

If you are going to be using a lot of titles with handwriting, you might want to look at Prodad Heroglyph v4. Of all of the titlers that plug into Edius, Heroglyph is the best at the handwriting effect.
You can download a demo and try it out. The Lite version is $149 and the Pro is $349.

The fonts in Quicktitler are the fonts on your PC. If you have a font you like and install on the PC it will appear in Quicktitler

Ron, I don't have Microsoft Word installed on my video editing PC. Do you think if I install Microsoft Word on my video editing PC I will get all the different fonts showing up in Quick Titler?

You will get the fonts that come with Microsoft Word installed into your system font folder. Quick Title will see these as well
