Default cutting video into sperate segments?

What would be the easiest workflow for taking a single large video file and breaking that up into individual segments and saving the segments to separate folders?

The original was a tape that was transferred to a digital file. The tape has several different topics.

Using Edius 8.5

From the file on the timeline :

Move the cursor and add I and O point to select the first segment.

Option 1 (if segments are shot)
- F11 to export. Tick the box "export between In and Out point.
- Click export and choose name and folder
- When finished click on X to delete I and O points and choose next section

Option 2 (for long segments more the 5 minutes)
- Click on the square Export button
- Click on the "Add to the batch export"
- Tick the box "export between In and Out point.
- Click on Add to the list batch export
- Choose name and folder

In this second case a list will be create... and to start the list :
- Click on the square Export button
- Click on the Export batch list,... that will appear with all the files to be created.
Then click on export...You will see the progress of each segment in creation.

Depending of the global length you will have time for a coffee or a dinner.
