Default SPARK and Coffee Lake processors

Is anyone using an HDSPARK with a system that has a Coffee Lake processor? I know Sparks do not like modern Xeon and 2011 pin systems but I tried one in a Coffee Lake system (using a Gigabyte motherboard) and it seemed to work fine.

However, the system is randomly locking up so I am not wondering if the Spark is the problem. Has anyone used this combination?
