Default Grass Valley Codec Pack (v7.31.2939) for Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit)?

Hello everyone.
I saw this codec pack in Grass Valley site.
Is it something that we have to install or when I installed edius 7 was already included?
Thank you

That is for use on systems that don't have Edius installed on them. This allows playback of HQ and HQX codecs on those systems. DO NOT install this on a system using Edius.

There is a warning on the Tech Support download site advising you NOT to download the codec pack on a system that already had Edius installed.

At least, for older versions of Edius, that is true.

The codec pack, I believe, is free to download for those who don't have Edius, (clients, etc.) so they can view Canopus/Grass Valley codecs on their systems.
